What's at stake

Abington is facing it's biggest layoffs and service cuts in more than 15 years. This includes more than 30 educators, the town's second ambulance, and multiple police officers. Here is what you're voting for:

SCHOOLS -- $1,763,957  (approximately 30 positions)

POLICE -- $841,313 (6 officers, 7 admin, 3 part-time employees)

TOWN HALL -- $463,130 (Cuts to department staff, services)

FIRE -- $275,514 (Loss of 2nd ambulance, cuts to training, equipment)

DPW -- $261,094 (2 requested positions, stormwater projects)

Library -- $13,964 (Library materials)

Council on Aging -- $6,468 (Grant money)
